wpLingua doesn't seem to be working properly, what can I do?

wpLingua is supposed to work correctly. We develop and update it regularly, testing it carefully before each update. If wpLingua is not working correctly on your website, the source of the cause may be diverse:

  • First check that your site is using the latest version of WordPress and a recent version of PHP.
  • Also check that all your plugins and themes are up to date.
  • Clear your caches and try another web browser (an outdated browser could also cause problems).
  • If the problems are still present, deactivate the extensions one by one, this will allow you to find which extension is in conflict.

Finally, don’t hesitate to contact support for help.

Some texts have not been translated, so what should we do?

If you used a crawler to generate the first translations more quickly, this is certainly the cause of the problem: the translation API cannot handle thousands of strings at a time, and can therefore return strings that are not translated. If you did not use a crawler, but some texts were not translated, the quality of the HTML code of your content (if the source code has errors) may be the cause. Finally, in certain specific cases, wpLingua must improve compatibility with your site.

An error occurred while creating the API key. What to do?

If when requesting the creation of your API key, you received a message such as “an error occurred during the creation of the API key” or “Error – The API could not be called”, please contact our support for assistance.
